Britta’s expertise includes conservation finance, responsible investment and insurance. She currently splits her time between Switzerland and South Africa and works as an independent consultant on responsible investing, sustainable insurance as well as conservation finance and the wildlife economy.
Until 2017, she headed WWF Switzerland’s Sustainable Finance department. Prior to that, she spent 7 years with the reinsurance company Swiss Re, where she worked as sustainability analyst of the insurer’s equity investment team and was responsible for Swiss Re’s implementation of the Principles for Responsible Investment. She later acted as global head of sustainability & political risk management, where she was responsible for leading the team that developed and implemented the company’s Sustainability Risk Framework. Before joining Swiss Re, she spent 3 years with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Britta holds and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, a Swiss diploma for wealth management (eidgenössisch geprüfte Vermögensverwalterin), and is a certified international investment analyst (CIIA). She is further a fellow of the Aspen Institute and a senior fellow of the University of Zurich Centre for Sustainable Finance and Private Wealth.
